Community responders

In country communities, a network of community responders are stationed across the state. Community responders are volunteer ambulance officers located in small selected towns that do not have their own ambulance station.

Community responders have a role similar to that of SPRINT paramedics and are dispatched to cases to provide support to ambulance crews and to ensure patients have access to basic life support and first aid quickly.
