The SA Ambulance Service (SAAS) Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) was developed in 2017.
It sets out how SAAS will work to bring about reconciliation and ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-indigenous Australians can enjoy the same health outcomes and life expectancy as all other Australians.
The SAAS plan has practical steps to support staff to ensure the best outcomes for the community. It focuses on our patients, our people, and our partners.
SAAS's primary objective is to save lives through the provision of the right care at the right time, which involves engageing with people from all communities in South Australia. This is why strong relationships and trust between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and our staff is so important.
